Mr J Greenhalgh, Head of House for Franklin

Franklin house is named after Benjamin Franklin who was an author, printer, politician, and inventor.

Franklin invented the lightning rod, preventing buildings from igniting and burning if they were struck by lightning. He also created the first public lending library in America, formed the first fire department in Pennsylvania and helped draft the Constitution which promised the protection of people's basic rights.

In Franklin house we encourage all students to have high aspirations and expectations of themselves and foster a 'can do' attitude.

The excellent team of tutors work closely with the parents and carers through regular communication to ensure that all students realise their full potential, are safe and enjoy their time at St Luke's.

Student achievements, both academic and extra curricular are celebrated during house assemblies which always enthuse and inspire others to be the best they can be.

In Franklin house we encourage our students to be motivated, driven and have a strong sense of house pride. The competitiveness and determination of Franklin students shines through during the inter-house activities throughout the year with the pinnacle being sports day.

I am extremely proud of all students in Franklin house.
